Save The Elves

Just something I thought was cute was making this sign to place on our candy cane jar!

The “elves” being my hubby and I!

I just printed it out on some scrapbook paper and backed it using a different scrapbook paper pattern….cute and simple!

Mom/Dad/Grandparents Gift Idea

If you are any of the people listed in the above title, please stop reading.

Please.

Pretty please?

Oh well, now you’re going to spoil your Christmas present!

Here’s the thing….

I WISH…oh, how I WISH before my grandparents passed away that I got their “stories”.

You know the ones.

The ones you hear about every once in a while and listen to so you can pass those stories on.

My grandparents are no longer with us, but my husband’s are, so I’m getting this for them and both sets of parents.

(In no way am I being compensated by this company, I just thought it was an amazing gift)

Okay, this gift really might be for me.

So I have their stories.

Stories to tell my kids, grandkids, great-grandkids.

Stories I wish I had from my grandparents and great-grandparents.

You can find them HERE.

Merry Christmas!

Tuesday Tutorial: Christmas Clothespin Magnets

An easy and cute way to display your kid’s artwork or those Christmas cards rolling in is to make some clothes pin magnets!

Very easy to do!

Need:

Clothespins

Mod Podge

Magnets

Christmas Scrap Paper

Brush  and  Glue

Directions:

1. Glue magnets on one side of clothespins. I used hot glue.

2. On the other side, brush on a light coat of Mod Podge and place your scrapbook paper on top.

3. Trim your paper close to the clothespins. I don’t trim it first because I never get it quite right….so I just do it after and it ends up perfect!

4. Brush on a light coat of Mod Podge on the top. Let dry.

5. Hang them up!

I’m Back!

Yes, I took off for Thanksgiving for a little bit, but I’m back!

Family comes first….I know, crazy, right?

We were busy, busy, busy.

We traveled up to Mammoth for a little bit and did this:

 (child labor)

“Why won’t this car work?”

We ended up leaving a little early to avoid being caught in another snow storm!

But, before we left, this happened:

Let me give you a closer look at the ladder positioning:

There were two ladders jammed up against the railing, leaning on the opposite walls. These pictures don’t give it justice. Crazy Pops and Uncle thought this was a great idea to get a picture hung up.

I had phone in hand ready to dial 911.

Reminding them of the snow storm and how it would take longer to get to the hospital, calling them “dumb” and “dumber”…..you get the idea.

It’s a miracle that they got it up without hurting themselves:

That picture was taken by Pops himself….you can see more of his work HERE.

We then had Thanksgiving dinner back down in Orange County:

And the next day we started decorating for Christmas!

Since my husband and I met, we’ve never had a real tree.

This year, I REALLY wanted one….the smell, the childhood memories associated with the smell…

Yes, a child is missing from this picture…she was at a sleepover.

See?

I told you I was busy!

But, I’ve also been crafting.

Stay tuned for those!

Hello readers of Jellybean Junkyard!

You now have the opportunity to win a month of fitness training at PURE Sports Fitness and Therapy!!

My name is Natalie and I have always had a passion for outdoor activities!

While working on my degrees in kinesiology and physical therapy throughout college and grad school, I was very active in triathlons, hiking and kayaking.

I opened up a studio for group fitness, specializing in injury prevention, and helping those recovering from injuries get back into a fitness routine but I still wanted a way to help them connect with the great outdoors. So, I began implementing outdoor workout/get togethers at no additional cost to my clients. I started with a regular Friday morning outing with walking/running the stairs in Dana Point, CA. I have since added in weekly hikes, kayaking, and this summer added stand up paddle boarding!

About a month ago, I decided to reach out to all of Orange County, California for people to connect with each other in the sports and outdoor workouts that they enjoy.

Win a month of group fitness training at PURE Sports Fitness and Therapy!

Open from 4pm-9pm (morning session coming soon) M-F and 8-11 on Saturday mornings.
You come in anytime your schedule allows and you work with a personal trainer in a group setting. We are a community that encourages and support positive healthy changes in your life and body. All of our trainers have 4 year degrees or higher education in kinesiology and Physical Therapy. So this is an ideal training environment to affordably work with a trainer.

The average cost of a trainer in Orange County is $75 per session, if you work with a trainer just 2 times per week that is $600 a month. For a fraction of that cost you can workout with us for an unlimited number of sessions per month.
No contracts, No initiation fees.
