I don’t get it…

There are days that my oldest daughter wakes up and is in the best mood.

The day looks like this:

Yes, she’s helping with the dishes. These are the days that I try to ponder what happened to create this day. The day that she is sweet, non-whining, helpful, and funny.

Then there’s today. Today she woke up in a mood that makes me wonder if she was switched at birth.

Remember before you had kids and you looked at other people’s kids and said to yourself, “My kids will never act like that!”

I think I’ve gotten that look from a few kid-less women.

These are the days that I call my mom and apologize for my childhood!

This is a quote from my daughter when she got sent to her room, “I hope they throw you in the dungeon and the dragons eat you!”

For reals.

Is it weird that for a moment I actually wished I was in the dungeon fighting off the bad dragons?

By the way, she’s 5.

I am really looking forward to her teenage years.

If you look at the picture closely, you can see that there is a child antibiotic and snack puffs in the background for my youngest and a bottle of wine. Wonder why I need a glass (or two) at the end of the day……

I wonder if you’d need that wine if you had a Caribou close by? 🙂

Hahaha….I soooo know what you mean. It’s great when I’m at work (being a behavior specialist and social worker and all) and I get the phone call from school telling me, “your daughter has something to tell you about what happened today at school….” Yes, I could claim it’s not my genetics, but we all know the truth (please, Karly, no need to comment, I know you used to torture me equally as much as I would torture you!!!).
